Job Description

Support underwriting team with data administration and audit compliancy.
Follow established policies, procedures and guidelines, ensuring quality customer
service and alignment with company objectives and corporate guidelines.


  • Primary responsibilities

  • Process and maintain reinsurance contract set up within operating system, in an accurate and timely manner, and collaborate with various departments in order to resolve discrepancies and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, group guidelines and company standards
  • Develop knowledge of assigned contracts by reviewing available reference material and consulting Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Maintain accurate and updated information in a timely manner by utilizing all available and pertinent systems efficiently and effectively and ensuring all necessary documents are filed appropriately for audit compliance
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers by providing assistance to team, communicating openly with team members and leaders on opportunities for improvements and resolving internal and/or external customer inquiries as necessary
  • Align individual performance with department expectations by adhering to established schedules, setting work-related goals and communication with management
  • Build skills and knowledge related to underwriting functions by participating in cross-training and learning additional processes and procedures to support multiple workflows and contribute to effectiveness of team operations
  • Assist in the development of workflow processes, monitoring efficiencies and coordinating necessary improvements to increase the level and quality of service provided to internal and external customers

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience

  • Working knowledge of reinsurance policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Computer systems and software
  • New and emerging tools and technologies relevant to the line of work

    Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is not substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions. Must have the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Must be able to operate basic office equipment including telephone, headset and computer.
