Job Description

  • Support the Risk & Controls unit in conducting portfolio and industry analysis to guide the business strategies of QBE North America Specialty Group.
  • Collect and analyze company and industry information, including liaising with rating agencies and information service providers.
  • Present analysis results both verbally and through writeups.
  • Construct charts, tables, reports and PowerPoint slides for the Risk & Controls unit.
  • Provide data analytics on Trade Credit and Surety portfolio to develop and validate Probability of Default (PD), Exposure at Default (EAD), and Loss Given Default (LGD) credit metrics.
  • Assist Risk & Controls unit in the monitoring of the credit and insurance risk in the Specialty portfolio.
  • Provide support to the Risk & Controls unit on various ad hoc projects.

Required Qualifications:

-              Currently pursuing or recent graduate of an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.

-              Major in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or related field.

-              Basic skills of Microsoft PowerPoint, EXCEL, Word, etc.

-              Interest in financial analysis, macroeconomics, and global capital markets.

-              Fluent in English with strong business writing and presentation skills.

Preferred:

-              International background/experience

-              Prior experience in risk or financial analysis

-              Basic knowledge of capital markets

-              Basic knowledge of insurance products
