Job Description

Support the development and maintenance of profitable products within area of responsibility by
monitoring regulatory and ISO rate changes and communicating with team to collaboratively modify coverage programs, policy forms and pricing and align services with organizational objectives.
  • Support the development of profitable products within area of responsibility by monitoring state insurance bureau and ISO rate changes, analyzing impact, reviewing profit/loss results for existing products and gathering actuarial rate information to build initial recommendations for changes to pricing and coverage programs

  • Utilize multivariate rate change assessment tools by pulling and organizing data from multiple systems, calculating accurate rates, researching market competition and escalating issues as required to ensure recommendations increase organizational profitability, achieve target returns and enhance market position

  • Contribute to Product and Underwriting compliance by recommending rates within assigned band of variables, limiting variance from insurance bureau guidelines and assisting with updating underwriting guides, policy forms and product manuals to ensure accurate capturing of updated rates and pricing and alignment with regulatory requirements
     
  • Communicate across the organization by collaborating with Underwriting, Information Technology (IT) and Sales and Marketing to update on rate change information and support efficient delivery of product modification notices to key stakeholders
     
  • Support a team-oriented approach to product rating operations by communicating with senior analysts to resolve pricing and technical questions and collaborating with IT to coordinate and monitor testing for required rating system changes
