Job Description

Drive efficient and effective application development initiatives by leading team within area of responsibility, guiding on project strategy and communicating and implementing opportunities for continuous improvement to ensure adherence to service level agreements and alignment with business technical needs.

Support Majesco transformation activities from product rationalization, pre blue printing, blue printing to implementation. Coordinate with multiple vendors. Create/ Update business cases
Program Management of Policy Administration transformation. Monitoring the Majesco related decommissioning road map


  • Manage the delivery of large-scale technology implementations of Policy Administration and Billing platform for Personal and / or Commercial Lines Insurance products for QBE North America.   Manage the day-to-day relationships with PaaS providers and Vendor partners.  Accountable and responsible for Implementation of new Policy Admin and Billing platform using Majesco products including integration with QBE downstream systems


  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems or equivalent required.

Experience & Knowledge:

  • 6-8 years as IT Delivery Lead on full life-cycle Packaged Systems Implementations or equivalent required
  • 4-6 years as IT Delivery Lead on full life-cycle Policy Administration and Billing systems Implementations, preferably Packaged Systems. Experience with Majesco’s Policy Admin Systems and Billing Systems highly desired.
  • 4-6 years in P&C Insurance domain, including Property and Casualty Lines, or equivalent required.
  • Experienced in working with / managing distributed delivery team
  • Advanced working knowledge of technical documentation
  • Advanced working knowledge of software development lifecycle and relevant milestones; project management methodology
  • Advanced working knowledge of Insurance terminology, property and casualty billing and policy administration systems
  • Advanced working knowledge of business and management principles involved in resource allocation and coordination of people and resources

  • For packaged/purchased applications, collaborate with the vendors to manage the full application life cycle for Policy Admin and Billing System Implementations
  • Provide overall direction, coordination and hands-on guidance towards implementation, execution, control and completion of assigned projects ensuring consistency of delivery against business and IT strategy, commitments and goals.
  • Execute the release management process for delivering interim releases per the overall program roadmap
  • Attend Change Advisory Board meetings to participate in change decisions and coordinate application changes.
  • Facilitate group and application review meetings around technical design, decision-making and problem solving to ensure quality solutions and services are delivered
  • Develop and manage direct relationships with business relationship managers and IT subject matter experts by ensuring business solutions align with identified goals and priorities and explaining how process automation through IT solutions can best achieve business goals
  • Research internal or external third party systems solutions that can be leveraged to meet business requirements
  • Influence adoption of technology recommendations to improve the performance of an application or application portfolio.
  • Manage a performance enhancement culture by actively coaching and mentoring direct reports, providing regular feedback and developing employees for wider roles and responsibilities to foster professional growth and development
  • Manage reporting to governance forums, key stakeholders and line management ensuring early sight of exceptions with options and mitigations where appropriate
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure project delivery meets business needs
  • Manage multiple work-streams (BA, DEV, Integration, QA, etc) in a distributed delivery environment to effectively deliver solutions that meet the stated business requirements.
  • Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility
  • Create a positive environment by modeling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

  • Accountable for ensuring adherence to Disaster Recovery Policy; responsible for maintaining Disaster Recovery Technical Recovery Plans (TRPs) and participating in Disaster Recovery exercises
