Job Description

Develop tactical and strategic processes required for the acquisition of data where QBENA data resides outside of QBENA systems and provide support to team by conducting day-to-day efforts necessary to facilitate the loading, evaluation and editing processes necessary to ensure the data’s compliance with QBENA data requirements. Require Strong Insurance data experience.
  • Lead and conduct day-to-day management of multiple data processes liaising with business unit teams and other operations teams
  • Review and implement procedures with the business partners which include the necessary tasks to maintain data quality received from the external partners
  • Provide oversight to the analysis team to ensure data quality is maintained and proper consideration is given to the impact throughout the organization and to external partners
  • Communicate with external partners as needed to ensure timely and effective data acquisition processes
  • Provide day-to-day support to data acquisition team and to data analysts
  • Manage budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and  properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements and achieve fiscal responsibility

Experience:

  • 7 years' experience in Information Technology (IT); experience with complex data modeling; increasing levels of responsibility
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Working knowledge of data management techniques and best practice
  • Working knowledge of IT concepts, systems, infrastructure, platforms, tools and technologies, hardware, software and services
  • Working knowledge of database development processes and project lifecycle
  • Working knowledge of processes, systems and software utilized in area of responsibility
  • Partner with team and prioritize tasks to ensure accomplishment of a common goal
  • Understand the needs and goals of customers and actively look for ways to meet them
  • Utilize effective research and investigative techniques
  • Use effective problem-solving skills to resolve technical issues within area of responsibility
  • Analyze and synthesize data to form options and recommendations
